A bathroom is the hardest-working room in the house, and it's the one where shortcuts show first. Waterproofing that isn't done to standard, tiling that isn't level, a layout that never quite worked. These are the problems a good renovation has to fix. So when we renovate a bathroom, every stage is handled by one team to one standard: design and layout, demolition, waterproofing, plumbing, tiling, fixtures, cabinetry and lighting.
That covers everything from a complete bathroom remodel (new layout, walk-in shower, freestanding bath) to a compact ensuite renovation or a straightforward bathroom makeover that refreshes the fittings and finishes you already have. Electrical work is handled in-house by ASP Electrical Installations, so there's one less trade to chase and one point of contact throughout.

In Torrens Park the corner spa came out of the master ensuite and a round freestanding bath now sits in the same window bay, with underfloor heating, a walk-in shower with an LED-lit niche and a fluted timber double vanity. In Kingswood the main bathroom was taken back to the frame, re-plumbed and waterproofed, then fitted with floor-to-ceiling timber cabinetry, a curved timber vanity and a back-to-wall bath. Same team and same finish on every job, from Gawler and Elizabeth in the north to Mitcham and the inner south.

Adelaide's north is one of our two focus areas, and its older brick homes sit alongside newer estates. A main bathroom renovation in Kingswood. The long room was taken back to the frame and re-plumbed, including a concealed in-wall cistern, then waterproofed before tiling. It now has floor-to-ceiling timber cabinetry, a curved timber vanity with double vessel basins, a walk-in shower with an LED-lit niche and a back-to-wall bath under the window.

The old bathroom is taken back to the frame or masonry. In homes built before 1990 we check for asbestos first and use licensed removal where it's needed.
Pipes and wiring are renewed or moved while the walls are open, with electrical done in-house by ASP Electrical Installations.
Wet areas are waterproofed to AS 3740 before a single tile goes down, then the walls and floor are tiled.

In older homes that can include asbestos, which has to be tested and safely removed.
