It now has floor-to-ceiling timber cabinetry, a curved timber vanity with double vessel basins, a walk-in shower with an LED-lit niche and a back-to-wall bath under the window.

As one example, a recent ASP bathroom (a full demolition of walls, floor and ceiling that doubled the room's size) was finished in just over four weeks, according to the client's Google review. It depends on the work and the property. Structural changes, such as moving or removing walls, can need development approval. If your home is a heritage place, or sits in a heritage area such as Church Hill, talk to us early because extra rules can apply. We check your address on PlanSA before we quote and look after any approvals as part of the job.
Absolutely. It's some of the work we enjoy most. We match into existing brickwork and rooflines, work carefully around solid older construction, and open up the interior for modern living while keeping the home's street character.
A home extension almost always needs development approval, made up of planning consent and building consent, before work starts. Some minor work is exempt, but structural changes can need approval. Gawler is in the Town of Gawler council area, and parts of the older town, including the Church Hill State Heritage Area, carry heritage overlays in the Planning and Design Code that add design rules for alterations and additions. You can check the zone and overlays for your address on PlanSA. For extensions and new builds, we handle the approvals as part of the job.

For domestic work that needs council approval and costs $20,000 or more, the builder must take out building indemnity insurance before work starts, and for contracts of $20,000 or more the deposit should be no more than 5%.
