Renovations & Builds in Elizabeth
Elizabeth is full of solid, well-built mid-century homes with real potential. We renovate, extend and rebuild across the Elizabeth suburbs — turning good bones into a home that works for how you live now.
The potential in an Elizabeth home
Elizabeth was built as a planned town, and it shows in the housing — street after street of solid double-brick homes from the 1950s and 60s, built to last on decent blocks. The structure is often excellent. What's dated is the layout: small, separate rooms, tired kitchens and bathrooms, and living spaces cut off from the backyard. That's exactly the kind of home that rewards a good renovation.
We spend a lot of our time turning that potential into reality — opening up the floorplan, rebuilding the kitchen and bathroom to a modern standard, and where it makes sense, extending out the back for a proper open-plan living area. On the many blocks across Elizabeth that suit subdivision, we also build new homes from the ground up.
Being based in the north and already building at Riverlea Park nearby, Elizabeth is right in our service area. You get the same trade coordination, waterproofing and finishing we put into our custom homes, matched to the job and budget in front of you.

Building in Elizabeth — your questions
Are Elizabeth's older homes worth renovating?
Very often, yes. Elizabeth's mid-century double-brick homes tend to have excellent structure — it's the layout and finishes that are dated. Opening up the floorplan and rebuilding the kitchen and bathroom usually adds real value for far less than moving.
Can you build a new home on a subdivided block?
Yes. Many Elizabeth blocks suit subdivision, and we build new homes on subdivided and vacant lots as full design-and-construct projects.
Do you handle the whole renovation, including trades?
We do. Every trade — plumbing, electrical, tiling and the rest — is coordinated by us, with electrical handled in-house by ASP Electrical Installations. You deal with one point of contact throughout.
Are you a licensed builder?
Yes — ASP Build & Co holds SA Builder's Licence BLD 342431 through Consumer and Business Services SA. All work complies with the National Construction Code.
