Privacy Policy

ASP Build & Co Pty Ltd (ABN 22 696 944 617), trading as ASP Build & Co (“we”, “us”, “our”), is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain English, how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

When you send an enquiry through our website contact form, we collect:

• your name and phone number;
• your email address and suburb, if you provide them;
• the type of project and your description of it; and
• any photos or plans you choose to attach.

We also collect whatever you tell us by phone, email, social media or in person, including your property address once a project goes ahead.

When you visit the website, our website host and Google Analytics collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view (see section 7).

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry or consultation request;
• prepare and deliver quotes and proposals;
• communicate with you and carry out your project; and
• keep normal business, tax and building records.

We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

When you send the contact form, your details and any attachments go through a secure function on our website host (Netlify) and are emailed to us by an email delivery service (Resend). A copy is also sent to JB Digital Barossa, the business that built and looks after this website, so they can make sure enquiries are getting through, and they keep a short note of each enquiry (name, email and message) in their client system for the same reason. They don’t use your details for anything else. Every submission is automatically checked for spam; anything that looks like spam is held for JB Digital Barossa to review and isn’t passed on to us. If you give us your email address, you’ll get an automatic email confirming we’ve received your enquiry. JB Digital Barossa’s client portal is hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia, and if an enquiry email can’t be delivered, it can be resent from there.

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected or as required by law.

When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that ASP Build & Co can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia (in JB Digital Barossa’s client portal, hosted by Supabase in Sydney) and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. A short notice under each form explains this. Any follow-up is a personal message from us, never sent automatically, and we will contact you no more than once about that enquiry. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email info@aspbuildco.com.au and we will action it promptly.

ASP Build & Co does not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

We share it only where needed: with the service providers that run our website and email (Netlify, Resend, Google, and JB Digital Barossa with its client portal hosted by Supabase, as described above); with subcontractors or tradespeople where needed to deliver your project; and where required or permitted by law. Netlify (our website host), Resend (email delivery) and Google (analytics) are based in the United States, so information they handle may be stored or processed there. JB Digital Barossa’s client portal data is held in Sydney, Australia.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our website, including whether someone taps our phone number or email link or sends the contact form. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and gives us statistics; it doesn’t tell us who you are, and the contents of our forms are never sent to Google. We have turned off Google Signals and advertising features, and analytics data is kept for 14 months. Some pages also show our Facebook feed, which is loaded from Facebook and may set Facebook’s own cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The website will still work.

Our website links to other websites, including Facebook and Instagram. These sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request corrections if that information is inaccurate or incomplete. You can also ask us to delete personal information we no longer need, such as unsent form details or an enquiry that didn’t go ahead, subject to any records we must keep by law. To make such a request, please contact us using the details below.

We will respond to all access and correction requests within a reasonable timeframe and at no charge.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us in the first instance so we can attempt to resolve the issue. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updated policies will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
