Our two latest renovations are both in the City of Mitcham. In Torrens Park we renovated through the heart of the house: the kitchen, butler's pantry and laundry, the master ensuite and the powder room. In Kingswood we took the main bathroom back to the frame and rebuilt it.
Renovating an established home means working with what's behind the walls: older plumbing, out-of-level floors and, in homes built before 1990, the chance of asbestos, which has to be tested and safely removed before demolition. We plan for that up front so it's in the quote, not a surprise halfway through.
Every job is run by Anthony, the director and licensed builder, with the electrical done in-house by ASP Electrical Installations. You get a detailed, itemised quote before work starts, and you choose the tiles, tapware, cabinetry and benchtops with us.

What did the Torrens Park renovation include?
The kitchen, butler's pantry and laundry, the master ensuite and the powder room. The old timber kitchen made way for a long stone island with waterfall ends and white shaker cabinetry, and in the ensuite a round freestanding bath replaced the corner spa in the same window bay, with underfloor heating and a walk-in shower.
Can you renovate a bathroom in an older home?
Yes. The Kingswood bathroom was taken back to the frame, re-plumbed (including a concealed in-wall cistern) and waterproofed before tiling. In homes built before 1990 we also check for asbestos before demolition, and every wet area is waterproofed to AS 3740.
How much does a renovation cost?
